when cell phones are fully charged and still on the charger, does the phone switch to using only the power adapter, and leave the battery alone, or does still use up cycles in the batteries life?
if not then batteries would last longer if when in stationary positions we took the battery out and just had it plugged in, and they probably could figure a way to do this in the electrical circuit to swithc the power source and turn off the charging and use of the batter with a button...

I'm just a bit curious about saving energy and trying to come up with different ways, I'd like to know the answer to this and would like to hear about any other ways that may be similar or that can save power.
