Hello All,
I'm an owner of the Sonim XP3 Quest - the one with GPS and internet access (alledgedly) and I have a problem with it.
Despite inputting the apparently correct data into the
GPRS profile (APN details, password and log-in as supplied by Sonim [I use Orange]) and setting up the internet browser, the phone will not link up to the internet. Apparently I need to do this to get the GPS working which is one of the main reasons I bought the phone (I work alone in the field and GPS would be useful to pinpoint my location to the emergency services if I came to mischieve).
I have an Orange Pay-as-you-go
SIM (although this shouldn't make any difference) and am based in the UK.
I have been in touch with Sonim tech' support but I've been shifted onto the
2nd level technical support (how many levels of Hell were there?) and so far they've not replied back yet.
I haven't provided full details of the inputted information on the phone as I'll leave that until someone who's been through the same process replies.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
