One of the latest worthwhile smartphones on it’s way out of Shenzhen is the Apanda A100. Like Meizu did with the M9, Apanda has decided to design a quality phone that can actually compete with popular Android phones like the Samsung Galaxy S. With a 4.3″ capacitive touch-screen and Android 2.3 installed, the A100 is bound to draw some attention as long as the price is right.

Underneath it’s impressive 4.3″ capacitive touch-screen, which supports 720p video playback, the A100 is packed with some pretty nice hardware. The phone’s powered by a 1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8650 processor, 2GB ROM and 512Mb RAM which should be more than enough to keep the device running smooth while multitasking. The A100 also comes stocked with a 5-megapixel back-facing camera just like the Samsung Nexus S and the iPhone 4. You can check out what photos taken from the A100 look like here.
The prototype (as seen in the photos below) is running Android 2.2, but the developers have promised Android 2.3 Gingerbread will come standard on the production version. No release date or pricing information have been given yet, but with specs as nice as these I doubt it’ll go for any less than US $200. What’s the most you’d be willing to pay to get your hands on the A100? –via GadgetsRepublic
