I've noticed on T-Mobile, Verizon, etc... cell phones I can search to find businesses and locations using their map service. I'm sure that cell phone carriers providing this as a service are not compiling all this data themselves but rather subscribing to or freely accessing it from somewhere. While you can load up apps to use Google maps/places and other like services on cell phones that have an operating system that allow you to (iPhone, Google android, etc...); the question I have is does anyone know where the cell phone providers are accessing this data from to provide to us?
