My wife has a cell phone and if she make 2 calls for 2 minutes a month then she's used it a lot. She doen't even turn it on unless she calls me to ask a question or let me know where she is. Paying $35 a month seem crazy for the use. Can anyone recomend an alternative option. Don't need text or any WEB browsing.

Most department stores electronics departments have an area where pay-as-you-go phones are available. You purchase a pre-paid card for the amount you want. I have seen cards for $10.00 with a 30 day lifetime. That's cheaper than $35.00 a month!
