Tablet Data plan on Cellphone?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had tried this in the past. I want to have cellphone with data only and use applications such as Skype to call and text message. The cell phone plans in my area (Canada, Quebec) that would allow me to do that (6gb monthly) start at 60$ but on the other hand there are plans for tablets with 4G that cost around 30$ monthly.

So I was wondering if I could get a sim card with a tablet data plan and use it on my phone?

I know you can use your cell phone sim card and get the data on your tablet so why not the other way around?

It might work. It's probably best to ask the carrier. Just explain you're looking for a "data-only" plan with a SIM card and see what they have available.
