When buying a phone off somebody that they claim is new, is checking the seal the best way to verify it outside of opening it up? For example I am looking to buy a Galaxy Note II and if they claim it's new, is checking to see if the t-mobile seal on the box is unripped a solid way to verify that it's brand new?

I mean is it possible to buy a seal and just stick it on there without making it look like the old one was ever broken? For those who are confused about the seal I'm talking about, I'm talking about the WARNING seal that all T-Mobile boxs come with.

    Thanks.

It's possible they could fake the sticker on the box, or carefully remove one from another box. I would compare them carefully.

Can you compare the sticker to a real sticker or a picture of one?
