Internal Storage (ROM) Management

Viewing the Amount of Free Storage Space:

  1. While on the home screen, tap the "All apps" icon
  2. Select "File Manager"
  3. View the "Available" and "Total space" values under "Phone storage"

Tips to Prevent Storage from Filling Too Quickly:

  • Changing the setting for email synchronization:

  1. From the home screen, tap "All apps"
  2. Scroll to and tap "Settings"
  3. Tap "Account settings" under "Accounts"
  4. Select the desired email account
  5. Tap "Days to sync" under "Data usage"
  6. Select a (lower) value between: "One day", "Three days", "One week", "Two weeks", "One month" or "All"

Other Tips to Clear Storage Regularly:

  • Delete unnecessary text and multimedia messages
  • Transfer pictures and media stored on your device to your computer
  • Delete the call logs
  • Clear the browser cache, history and / or cookies

Internal Memory (RAM) Management

Viewing the Free Amount of Memory:

  1. Tap the "All apps" icon located on the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Tap "Storage" under "Device"
  4. You can view the amount of free memory by:
    • Phone storage
    • Total space
    • Available space
    • Apps (app data, etc.)
    • Pictures, videos
    • Audio (music, etc.)
    • Downloads
    • Cached data
    • Misc

Using the Task Manager to Free Up Memory:

  1. From the home screen, tap "All apps"
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Press "Applications" under "Device"
  4. Go to the following tabs located at the top of the screen:
    • Downloaded: allows you to view and uninstall downloaded apps
    • SD Card: tap to view apps installed on the SD card
    • Running: tap to view apps that are currently running
    • All: tap to view all apps
  5. Select the application that you wish to stop or remove
  6. Tap "Stop", "Force stop" or "Uninstall"

Keeping Your Apps Up to Date:

  1. From the home screen, tap "All apps"
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Under "Device", tap "Applications"
  4. Select the app that you wish to view and update (if available)

Tip: in order to prevent your phone's internal memory (RAM) to fill up too quickly, the manufacturer recommends restarting your smartphone regularly.
