Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts stored on your iPhone with a Google account. Then you can sync the contacts from the account with the Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 3.

  1. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes and click the iPhone to view the summary page
  3. Click the “Info” tab
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing one (if applicable)
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. After the sync is done, switch to the Pixi 3 and log in with the same Google account. Then, allow the account to sync contacts with your phone

Using iCloud:

NOTE: If you’ve used iCloud on your iPhone before, your contacts should be backed up on your iCloud account. You can access it on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts as a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Click “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  6. After the vCard file is downloaded on the computer, import it to “Google Contacts
  7. Alternatively, skip the last step above and instead, connect the Pixi 3 to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard file to the phone storage, and use the “Import” option in the “Contacts” app to add the vCard file’s contents to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the two methods above require access to a computer, alternatively you can use third party applications instead. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and send iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on your iPhone
  2. Launch the application and tap “Backup
  3. After the vCard backup file is created, tap “Email
  4. Compose a new email and make sure the vCard file is attached
  5. Send the email to your own address
  6. On the OneTouch Pixi 3, open the email and download the vCard file attached to it
  7. Import the file’s contents using “Contacts

Via “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere (iOS and Android). It uses a P2P connection to transfer contacts and other types of files without the need of a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the Pixi 3 via the Google Play Store
  3. Open the application on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method. Tapping “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone will create a code that can be scanned with the Pixi 3’s camera to begin the transfer. You can also tap “Receive” on the Alcatel device, and manually enter the transfer code randomly generated on the iPhone
