Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC to the ZenFone 2E:
- Connect the ZenFone to your computer via USB
- Swipe the “Status” bar down and ensure the phone is connected as a “Media Device (MTP)”
- In the AutoPlay window on the computer, double-click “Open folders to view files” and access the “Media” directory
- Open a second Explorer window and navigate to the desired audio files on the phone
- Copy the desired files and paste them in the first Explorer window on the phone, in the “Media” folder (preferably under “Ringtones” / “Notifications”)
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the handset from the USB connector
Change the Phone Ringtone:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Access “Settings”
- Swipe to “Device” and tap “Sound”
- Under “Call Ringtones & vibrate”, tap “Phone ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”
- Optionally, you can enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”
Change the Ringtone of a Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones can’t be assigned to contacts stored on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM card.
- Open “Contacts”
- Select the desired contact
- Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
- Tap “Set ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK”
Change the Notification Sound:
- Access the “Settings” menu
- Swipe to “Device”
- Tap “Sound & notification”
- Scroll to “Sound”
- Tap “Default Notification Sound” and select the desired notification audio file
- Tap “OK” to confirm
