Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC to the ZenFone 2E:

  1. Connect the ZenFone to your computer via USB
  2. Swipe the “Status” bar down and ensure the phone is connected as a “Media Device (MTP)”
  3. In the AutoPlay window on the computer, double-click “Open folders to view files” and access the “Media” directory
  4. Open a second Explorer window and navigate to the desired audio files on the phone
  5. Copy the desired files and paste them in the first Explorer window on the phone, in the “Media” folder (preferably under “Ringtones” / “Notifications”)
  6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the handset from the USB connector

Change the Phone Ringtone:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Swipe to “Device” and tap “Sound”
  4. Under “Call Ringtones & vibrate”, tap “Phone ringtone”
  5. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”
  6. Optionally, you can enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”

Change the Ringtone of a Contact:

NOTE: Custom ringtones can’t be assigned to contacts stored on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM card.

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Select the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
  4. Tap “Set ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK”

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Access the “Settings” menu
  2. Swipe to “Device”
  3. Tap “Sound & notification”
  4. Scroll to “Sound”
  5. Tap “Default Notification Sound” and select the desired notification audio file
  6. Tap “OK” to confirm
