Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Asus Zenfone Zoom to your computer via USB
  2. Drag the “Status” bar down and make sure “Media Device (MTP)” is turned on
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the desired audio files
  4. Copy the audio files you want to use for ringtones
  5. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory under “Ringtones” and “Notifications”
  6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray, and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Change the Phone Ringtone:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Swipe to “Device” and tap “Sound”
  4. Tap “Phone ringtone” under “Call Ringtones & vibrate”
  5. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”
  6. Optionally, you can turn “Also vibrate for calls” On or Off

Change a Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones to contacts stored on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.

  1. Launch “Contacts”
  2. Select the desired contact and tap “Edit”
  3. Tap “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Sound & notification” under “Device”
  3. Tap “Default Notification Sound”
  4. Select the desired notification sound and tap “OK” to confirm
