Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can register the account on the Lava X10 and allow it to sync contacts with your Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to your computer using the USB cord
  2. Open iTunes on the computer
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone
  4. Go to the “Info” tab and enable “Sync Contacts With
  5. From the drop-down menu, select “Google Contacts
  6. Sign in with your Google account, or alternatively click “Configure” and select an existing account if available
  7. Click “Apply” and wait for the sync to complete
  8. Once done, switch to the Lava X10, register the same Google account, and allow it to sync contacts with your device

Using iCloud:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can access your account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the PC
  2. Access https://www.icloud.com/ and log in with your iCloud account
  3. Click “Contacts
  4. Select the desired contacts and click “Settings
  5. Select “Export vCard
  6. Once the vCard is downloaded, import it to “Google Contacts” or:
  7. Alternatively skip the step above and connect the Lava X10 to your PC via USB, then transfer the vCard to the phone’s memory and use “Contacts” to import it

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the methods above require access to a computer with an active Internet connection, alternatively you can transfer the contacts from your iPhone using third party applications instead. My Contacts Backup is an app for iOS that can back up and transfer contacts through email.

  1. Open the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup
  3. Once the backup file is created, tap “Email
  4. Compose a new email, and make sure the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email to your own address
  6. Next, switch to the Lava X10, open the email, and download the attached file
  7. Launch “Contacts” and use the “Import” option from the app’s menu to add the vCard’s contents to your phonebook

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere (Android and iOS). The app can transfer various types of files, including contacts, over a peer-to-peer connection without requiring a PC.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the Lava X10 via the Google Play Store
  3. Launch the app on both devices
  4. Tap “Send” on the iPhone
  5. Tap “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  6. Tap “Send”, and select a transfer method. You can tap “Receive” on the Lava X10 and enter the transfer code from the iPhone, or tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the Lava X10’s camera to start the transfer
