Using iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data with the Alcatel Pixi 4.

  1. Connect the iPhone to your PC using the Lightning cable
  2. Open iTunes on the computer
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and access the “Info” tab
  4. Turn on “Sync Contacts With
  5. From the drop-down menu, select “Google Contacts
  6. Sign in with your Google account, or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” and wait for the sync to complete
  8. Once the sync is done, sign in with the same Google account on the Pixi 4 and allow it to sync contacts with your device

Using iCloud:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Click “Contacts
  4. Select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  6. Once the vCard file is downloaded on the PC, import it to “Google Contacts” or alternatively skip this step and instead:
  7. Connect the Pixi 4 to your computer via USB, copy the vCard to the phone storage, open “Contacts” and use the “Import” option to add the vCard to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the two methods above require access to a computer, alternatively you can use third party apps to transfer your iPhone contacts. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and send your iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store
  2. Install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  3. Open the application and tap “Backup
  4. Once the backup file is created tap “Email
  5. Make sure the email contains the vCard as an attachment
  6. Send the email to your own address
  7. Switch to the Pixi 4, open the email, and download the attached vCard
  8. Use the “Contacts” app to import the vCard

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app (for Android and iOS) you can use to transfer contacts through a peer-to-peer connection without needing a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. On the Pixi 4, visit the Play Store and install the same app
  3. Launch the application on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
  5. Select the contacts you want to share
  6. Tap “Send
  7. Lastly, select a transfer method. You can tap “Receive” on the Pixi 4 and enter the transfer code from the iPhone, or tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the Pixi 4’s camera
