Create and Select an APN (Access Point Name) Profile:

  1. Tap “Settings” on the Start screen
  2. Tap “Network & wireless” > “Cellular & SIM
  3. Tap “SIM settings
  4. Under “Internet APN", tap “Add an internet APN
  5. Complete the “Profile Name”, “APN”, “Username”, “Password” etc. fields
  6. Once you finish adding the APN information, tap “Save
  7. Select the desired APN profile you want to use

Select Networks Manually:

  1. Open the “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Network & wireless
  3. Tap “Cellular & SIM” > “SIM settings
  4. Tap “Search for networks” under “Cellular network
  5. Select the desired (available) network provider

Switch between 2G / 4G:

  1. Tap “Settings” on the Start screen
  2. Tap “Network & Wireless” > “Cellular & SIM
  3. Go to “SIM settings
  4. Tap the “Highest connection speed” option under “Cellular network
  5. Select between “LTE”, “4G”, or “2G

Turn Mobile Data On / Off:

  1. Open the “Settings” menu and tap “Networks & wireless
  2. Tap “Cellular & SIM
  3. Tap the “Data connection” switch under “Cellular Data” to enable or disable mobile data

Enable / Disable Airplane Mode:

  1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Network & wireless
  3. Tap “Airplane mode
  4. Press the switch under “Status” and set it to “On” or “Off

Turn Data Roaming On or Off:

  1. Open the “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Network & wireless” > “Cellular & SIM
  3. Tap the “Data roaming options” box under “SIM
  4. Select “roam” or “Don’t roam

Enable / Disable Anti-Theft:

  1. Tap “Settings” on the Start screen
  2. Tap “update & security
  3. Tap “Find My Phone
  4. Select “Turn on” or “Turn off
  5. Enter your Microsoft Live password and tap “Enter

Enable / Disable Developer Options:

  1. Open the “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Update & security
  3. Tap “For developers
  4. Select “Windows Store apps” to make sure you install apps only from the Windows store
  5. Manage other available developer options as you desire

Enable / Disable Emergency Alerts:

  1. Tap the “Messaging” tile on the Start screen
  2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings
  3. Go to “Change emergency alert settings
  4. Select to enable or disable one, or more of the following:
    • Extreme Alerts
    • Severe Alerts
    • AMBER Alerts

NOTE: Presidential Alerts are enabled by default and cannot be turned off.
