Create an APN (Access Point Name) Profile:
- On the Start screen, tap “Settings”
- Tap “Networks & wireless”
- Tap “Cellular & SIM” > “SIM settings”
- Under “Internet APN”, tap “Add an internet APN”
- Enter the necessary details in the “Profile Name”, Username”, “Password”, “APN” fields etc.
- After adding the necessary info, tap “Save”
- You can now choose an APN profile to use
Switch between 2G / 4G LTE:
- Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
- Tap “Network & Wireless”
- Tap “Cellular & SIM” > “SIM settings”
- Under “Cellular network” tap “Highest connection speed”
- Select between “2G”, “4G” and “LTE”
Select Networks Manually:
- Go to “Settings”
- Tap “Network & wireless”
- Tap “Cellular & SIM” > “SIM settings”
- Under “Cellular network”, tap “Search for networks”
- Select the desired network provider
Enable / Disable Mobile Data:
- Access the “Settings” menu
- Tap “Network & Wireless” > “Cellular & SIM”
- Under “Cellular Data”, tap the switch associated with “Data connection” to turn the feature On or Off
Turn Roaming On / Off:
- Tap “Settings” on the Start screen
- Tap “Network & wireless”
- Go to “Cellular & SIM”
- Under “SIM”, tap the “Data roaming options” box
- Select “Don’t roam” or “roam”
Turn Airplane Mode On / Off:
- Open “Settings”
- Tap “Network & Wireless” > “Airplane mode”
- Under “Status”, tap the switch and set it to “On” or “Off”
Enable / Disable Anti-Theft:
- From the phone’s “Settings” menu, tap “Update & security”
- Tap “Find My Phone”
- Choose to “Turn On” or “Turn Off” the feature
- To proceed, enter your Microsoft Live account’s password and tap “Enter”
Turn Developer Options On / Off:
- Tap “Settings” on the Start screen
- Tap “Update & security” > “For developers”
- Select “Windows Store apps” and choose whether to allow your phone to install apps from other locations aside the Windows store
- From the menu, manage the other developer options or enable / disable the feature
Manage Emergency Alerts:
- On the Start screen, tap “Messaging”
- Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
- Access “Change emergency alert settings”
- Choose to enable or disable the following:
- Extreme Alerts
- Severe Alerts
- AMBER Alerts
NOTE: Presidential Alerts are turned on by default and cannot be disabled.
