Create an APN (Access Point Name) Profile:

  1. On the Start screen, tap “Settings
  2. Tap “Networks & wireless
  3. Tap “Cellular & SIM” > “SIM settings
  4. Under “Internet APN”, tap “Add an internet APN
  5. Enter the necessary details in the “Profile Name”, Username”, “Password”, “APN” fields etc.
  6. After adding the necessary info, tap “Save
  7. You can now choose an APN profile to use

Switch between 2G / 4G LTE:

  1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Network & Wireless
  3. Tap “Cellular & SIM” > “SIM settings
  4. Under “Cellular network” tap “Highest connection speed
  5. Select between “2G”, “4G” and “LTE

Select Networks Manually:

  1. Go to “Settings
  2. Tap “Network & wireless
  3. Tap “Cellular & SIM” > “SIM settings
  4. Under “Cellular network”, tap “Search for networks
  5. Select the desired network provider

Enable / Disable Mobile Data:

  1. Access the “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Network & Wireless” > “Cellular & SIM
  3. Under “Cellular Data”, tap the switch associated with “Data connection” to turn the feature On or Off

Turn Roaming On / Off:

  1. Tap “Settings” on the Start screen
  2. Tap “Network & wireless
  3. Go to “Cellular & SIM
  4. Under “SIM”, tap the “Data roaming options” box
  5. Select “Don’t roam” or “roam

Turn Airplane Mode On / Off:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Tap “Network & Wireless” > “Airplane mode
  3. Under “Status”, tap the switch and set it to “On” or “Off

Enable / Disable Anti-Theft:

  1. From the phone’s “Settings” menu, tap “Update & security
  2. Tap “Find My Phone
  3. Choose to “Turn On” or “Turn Off” the feature
  4. To proceed, enter your Microsoft Live account’s password and tap “Enter

Turn Developer Options On / Off:

  1. Tap “Settings” on the Start screen
  2. Tap “Update & security” > “For developers
  3. Select “Windows Store apps” and choose whether to allow your phone to install apps from other locations aside the Windows store
  4. From the menu, manage the other developer options or enable / disable the feature

Manage Emergency Alerts:

  1. On the Start screen, tap “Messaging
  2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings
  3. Access “Change emergency alert settings
  4. Choose to enable or disable the following:
    • Extreme Alerts
    • Severe Alerts
    • AMBER Alerts

NOTE: Presidential Alerts are turned on by default and cannot be disabled.
