Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Use the USB-microUSB cable to connect the Maxwest device to your computer
- At the prompt, select “Media device (MTP)”. Otherwise enable this option from the notification area
- On the computer, open the File Explorer and locate the desired audio files on your PC storage
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably under “Media”, in the “Ringtones” / “Notification” folder(s)
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray
- It’s now safe to disconnect the phone from the USB
Change the Phone Ringtone:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound”
- Tap “Phone ringtone” under “Call ringtone & vibrate”
- Select the ringtone you want to use
- Tap “OK” to confirm
- Optionally, you can turn “Also vibrate for calls” On or Off
Change a Contact’s Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts located on the SIM card, or on the phone’s internal memory.
- Open “Contacts”
- Select the desired contact and tap “Edit”
- Tap “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK” to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
- Under “Device”, tap “Sound & Notification”
- Tap “Default notification sound” under “Sound”
- Select the notification sound you wish to use
- Tap “OK” to set it
