Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the ZTE Blade X9 to your computer via USB
- At the prompt, enable “Media device (MTP)”. Otherwise, swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen and enable the option from the notification area
- On the computer, launch the File Explorer
- Use the Explorer to locate the audio files on your computer
- Copy the desired audio files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” folder(s)
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Change the Phone’s Ringtone:
- Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
- Scroll to “Device”
- Tap “Sound”
- Under “Call ringtone & vibrate”, tap “Phone ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK” to confirm
- Optionally, turn “Also vibrate for calls” On or Off
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts located on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.
- Launch “Contacts”
- Tap the desired contact
- Tap “Edit” (icon shaped like a pencil)
- Tap “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK” to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Access the “Settings” menu
- Under “Device”, tap “Sound & Notification”
- Tap “Default Notification Sound” under “Sound”
- Select the desired notification sound
- Tap “OK”
