Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Lava P7 to your PC using the USB cable
- Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen and turn on “Media device (MTP)”
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the Explorer to locate the desired audio files on your computer
- Copy the files and paste them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” folders
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and disconnect the device from the USB cord
Change the Phone’s General Ringtone:
- Open the apps drawer
- Access “Settings”
- Tap “Sound” under “Device”
- Under “Call ringtone & vibrate”, tap “Phone ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm
- Optionally, you can turn “Also vibrate for calls” On or Off
Change a Contact’s Ringtone:
NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones to contacts located on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.
- Open “Contacts”
- Go to the “All Contacts” tab
- Select the desired contact and tap “Edit” (pencil icon)
- Tap “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Go to the “Settings” menu
- Under “Device”, tap “Sound & Notification”
- Tap “Default Notification Sound” under “Sound”
- Select the notification sound you want to use and tap “OK”
