Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Coolpad Catalyst to your computer via USB
- When prompted, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the “Notification” area
- On the computer, open the File Explorer
- Use the Explorer to locate the desired audio files on your computer
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Alarms” / “Notifications” folders under the “Media” directory
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray
- You can now safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open the apps drawer
- Go to “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device”
- Tap “Sound & notification”
- Tap “Phone ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK” to save the changes
- Optionally, you can enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts located on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch “Contacts”
- Select the desired contact and tap “Edit”
- Tap “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device”
- Tap “Sound & notification”
- Under “Sound”, tap “Default Notification Sound”
- Select a notification sound and tap “OK” to set it
