Transfer Audio Files To Use As Ringtones:
- Connect the ZTE Axon 7 mini to your computer via USB
- Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer and use it to locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
- Copy the files you want to use and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” / “Alarms” directories
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open the apps drawer
- Go to “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & Notification”
- Tap “Phone ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Press “OK” to confirm
- Optionally, you can choose to disable or enable “Also vibrate for calls”
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts located on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.
- Open “Contacts”
- Select the desired contact
- Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
- Tap “Set ringtone” and select the ringtone you want to use
- Tap “OK” to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Launch “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & notification”
- Tap “Default notification ringtone”
- Select the desired notification sound and tap “OK” to confirm
