Back Up App Data:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch “Settings” and scroll to “Personal”
- Tap “Backup & reset”
- Turn on “Back up my data” to back up app data to your Google account
- Turn on “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be restore automatically when signing in with your Google backup account
Back Up Contacts:
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
- Select an account type and account you want to use for contact syncing
- Enable “Contacts” if necessary
- Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”
NOTE: Contacts backed up using the method above can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your backup account.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Connect the Alcatel to your computer via USB
- Turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media files on the phone storage
- Copy the desired media files and transfer them in the backup location on your PC storage
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the Alcatel device and computer
- Turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the Explorer to locate the media file backups on the PC
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directories they originate from
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device form the USB cord
