Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Google Pixel to your computer via USB
- Enable “Media Device (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the Explorer to locate the desired audio files on the computer
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones”, “Notifications” and / or “Alarms” folders
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Swipe up on the home screen to access the apps drawer
- Open “Settings”
- Tap “Sound & Notification”
- Tap “Phone ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm
- Optionally, you can choose to enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”
Change a Contact’s Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned for contacts located on the SIM card or the device’s internal memory.
- Open “Contacts”
- Go to “All Contacts”
- Tap the contact you want to customize
- Tap “edit” > “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Launch “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & Notification”
- Tap “Default notification ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm
