Back Up and Restore Application Data:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch “Settings” and scroll to “Personal”
- Tap “Backup & reset”
- Turn ON “Back up my data” to back up app data, passwords, and settings to your Google account
- To allow app data to be restored automatically when signing in with your Google account or when reinstalling apps, enable “Automatic Restore”
Back Up & Restore Contacts Using a Google Account:
- Open “Settings”
- Go to “Accounts”
- Select an account type
- Tap the account you want to use for syncing contacts
- Ensure “Contacts” is checked and tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”
NOTE: You can restore contacts backed up on a Google account when you sign in with the account on the smartphone.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Connect the ZTE Grand X 4 to your computer via USB
- Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media files on the phone and copy them
- Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the ZTE Grand X 4 to your computer through the USB port
- Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the PC
- Locate the media backup files on the computer storage
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) they originate from
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
