I'm sorta new to the cell phone world. I say "sorta new" because I used to have an older Nokia that I couldn't do much with. I now have an LG L1400 that I just got last week and would love to get more out of but don't want to spend an arm and a leg on service. I don't care much about surfin' the net with the phone. Don't want to get emails or IM's. I just want to be able to move pics and ringtones. My wife and I have a baby due in a few weeks and are running really low on funds. I know I can get a cable to hook up to the phone and be able to do this but we don't have the cash right now for it. Things are that tight! I've looked around and have seen a program called PC Sync but that requies the cable or an infrared port. I have an older IBM Stinkpad that has one but it doesn't seem to work with this setup. I also checked out Polyphonic Wizard which would send stuff to my phone but that requires a
WAP setup and I'm "guessing" I'm gonna get charged extra for that to be sent to my phone. Is that true?
Also I'd like to know if the Polyphonic Wizard would work for ringtones are there any "FREE"
WAP settings for Cingular phones?
