As a result of my general disgust regarding Telus crippling their phones to prevent downloading of ringtones/images/etc, I've decided that it's time for me to change providers. Can anyone recommend a suitable alternative available in Ontario, Canada?

And seeing as it is unlikely that my phone will be useable on any other provider's network, can anyone recommend a phone for which a data transfer cable is available, and will play mp3 ringtones as well?
