I was wondering what people in the Chicago area thought was the best provider in terms of both price and reception. It would be great if it also worked in Philadelphia and New York, but Chicago is the where I will be most of the year.

I appreciate any advise people have.

Also, this might be a stupid question, but are their plans where nights start earlier then 9pm? I remember commercials about that.

I had good luck with Sprint and Verizon whilst I lived in Chicago the last several years... both providers have pretty good coverage throughout Chicago and the Western suburbs. I still have Verizon here on the East Coast... and I do a lot of travelling and rarely have dropped calls except when I'm in rather rural areas.
