hi people well being a cell phone dealer myself will tell ya the game then you can decide if it is a catch or not well the truth is how you get a free phone is that when you sign up for a contract one year or two year then dealers like myself get commission from the carrier which varies for plan to plan for each carrier for example if you get a Nokia 6101 with t-mobile the cost of phone is $200 and commission would max upto $275 so even if you get the phone FREE the dealer still makes $75 or if you pay for the phone the money a dealer will make is $75 + money you pay upfront. So its for you to decide where the catch is.N dont forget to get your free accessories when you sign up a contract. For best deals from all over the net if you are looking for your new cell phone plz visit my site www.cellulartribe.com Thanx for reading this.

please use some punctuation in your posts. it makes your points understandable.

i also hope you're legit when you say you're a dealer.

that's not what this thread is about, please start your own thread in Chit Chat and someone will answer you there, but what you just did is hijack someone else's thread (more about that in the FAQ).

    hope this helps

Well if you already have a contract and are out of one, then you may purchase a new phone at full price with out having to renew you contract. If you have Cingular or T-Mobile then all you would really need to do is just switch your sim card into another Cingular or T-Mobile phone with out affecting your plan at all.

Now, if you don't have a contract and don't want to get one, then go for prepaid, which could get a little pricey though.

Re: The catch behind cell phone contract?

I hate the two year contract. My dad is the only one in my family (that's one out of seven) who keeps his phone for the whole two years. I really like the idea of one year contracts; I just hate the price of the phone because you're essentially paying the termination fee up front with 1 year plans.
What's my girlfriend doing in your five?
