I am looking for a new phone, and I know that I will have it activated with Page Plus, but all of the terminology has my head spinning!

I am looking on eBay, but what do I need? What about Sim cards? CDMA? Locked or Unlocked? Anything I am forgetting? Thanks so much for any help!! The Motorola V-120 looks like a good basic phone, will any V-120 work? Suggestions?

Re: Page Plus- What basics do I need?

I'm in a similar situation. I'm currently with PagePlus and looking for a new phone to replace my Nokia 5185 "frankenphone". I think I've replaced everything on/in that phone except for the main board.

I've heard that you can buy a Verizon inPulse phone from Walmart or Best Buy and activate it on PagePlus. Does anyone have first hand expierience with this?

Re: Page Plus- What basics do I need?

You can buy an Inpulse phone from Walmart or Best Buy and not activate it with Verizon. Or get a Verizon branded phone from Ebay, friend, relative, garage sale, etc. The important part is that it is a non-active Verizon phone. Which is CDMA. (Not GSM and doesn't use a SIM card). Also, not a bad idea to get the ESN from the seller and make sure you can activate it with pageplus before you buy it. If your are buying a new Verizon phone I wouldn't worry about a ESN check, but this is your choice. Once you have a phone then you can buy a Page Plus starter kit off ebay for cheap and your ready to go.
