It depends on what "stupid service" you are referring to. If you have accidentally signed up for something via free ringtones or anything like that, you can usually stop it by replying with "stop" (or sometimes "cancel") but if you don't use text messaging at all, you can have Sprint block text completely.

Make sure you aren't getting charges on your bill, there are all kinds of things like "joke of the day" and things that trick you into signing up and then bill you later! Also if you don't have text in your plan, the standard rate of 10c per message will apply.

I'm glad I could help. Now, I'm going to move this to a different forum because it's not really a Sprint issue, I'm probably moving the thread to the General Service Provider forum. That way, it can be helpful to someone else who might be in the same predicament.

Lol..my son must have gotten on a free trial thing or one of his "friends" did so on his phone...on my family plan. Took me 5 mos to finally get detailed enough billing on the bill to call the service and request it be stopped. Additionally, the woman was empathtic and had a check cut to me for the 5 months worth of charges.
