Re: Pre-Paid Phone service
my mother used Virgin Mobile for a while, it's 10 cents a minute, pretty good, thats 10 minutes every dollar, so $20 is 200 minutes =P

Re: Pre-Paid Phone service
Tmobile at 9 cents/min with cpc discout.
Ampd or Net10 are both 10 cents/min and both have much larger coverage.
At your usage this would only be $25-30/month.Last edited by roberts1953; 07-14-2006 at 12:16 AM.

Re: Pre-Paid Phone service
Amp'd Mobile is a fairly new company, they are 10c/minute and use Verizon's network. 10c/min. might not be the best deal, but I really like their phones, they're cool!

Re: Pre-Paid Phone service
Verizon's new EasyPay plan is pretty good, but it's a little bit more expensive. You can either pay $50 or $70 a month for 350 or 700 monthly minutes respectively. The thing that makes this plan nice is that it comes with unlimited calling to Verizon phones and 3000 night & weekend minutes. It's also nationwide (which goes without saying) with one of the biggest prepaid networks in the nation. It depends on what you're looking for, but with all of the addons that you get with the EasyPay plan, it would be hard for me to look elsewhere. Wow...I sound like such a corporate whore...

Re: Pre-Paid Phone service
I personally think that T-Mobile has the best pre-paid service. I've seen so far. i have it right now and you get the most minutes for you money. $100 for 1k. Hard to beat that. I used to have Virgin mobile to and it worked out pretty good. I really don't like there limited phone choices though.

Minimum of $20 every 2 mos. to top up or $120 every year
They only have three phones - I'd go for the Moto hollywood for reliability

Re: Pre-Paid Phone service
I hated Virgin because it states .10 a minute but you still get the .25 a minute surcharge etc... go with Cingular, T-Mobile as both have good plans and more and more companies are offering pay as you go because more and more people are getting phones shut off and having to jump from one carrier to another etc... If i could ever find a good 1000 minute a month pre paid plan I would change from Ntelos.
