    Hi all,

Which of the three cell phone service providers: Cingular, Sprint or Verizon, have the best voice quality and connection in SF/Bay Area? I don't care about data/web services, I just want very good voice quality, at least from my end. If it takes to have a special Phone/Service combo, I'll be happy to check them out too.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

If you live in the East Bay, then Sprint is the best....has been for years, although other carriers are building there. I've heard T-Mobile is good in the North Bay. I've used Sprint and Verizon in the bay area and Sprint is definitely better than VZW (as it is 99.9% of the time wherever I am in the country) but T-Mobile might not be a bad option, either.

When my sister applied to a school out in the East Bay, they told her that Sprint was the only one that worked. I used both my Sprint and Verizon and Verizon worked out there but Sprint had more bars in more places. When I went up to Mendocino with my Verizon phone, it never worked on the 1. I didn't bring my Sprint phone on that trip, but I looked at their map and it said it did. As for the rest of the bay area, I never really tried because whenever I visit my sister we spend most of the time in the East Bay.
