My dad, my aunt, and my grandma are going to Spain in a few weeks, and my brother has a business trip in the UK and they're going to meet in London for a day or two, and we seriously need to work out all the phones. We've tinkered with Sprint's international phones and we have a Nokia 3310 that works only on the 900 and 1800 bands and a Samsung A790 that's CDMA and GSM 900/1800. My brother got a Nokia 3250 from his other business trip (same phone in my avatar) but I don't think he has a SIM card for it anymore.

My dad will use the Samsung A790, but I think we'll get him a T-Mobile quad band phone to use next week as it's $0.50/min less than Sprint, which is $1.50 and hardly worked in Rome for my sister.

I think my parents are going to switch me over to T-Mobile, too, and my aunt might take my phone, if she wants it. My grandma wil not need a phone.

My brother definitely needs a phone as his trip is twice as long as my dad's. Could he take the SIM card out of the Sprint phones and stick it into his Nokia 3250 unlocked? Would that work here? Would that work there? Should he get service from T-Mobile and get the $0.50/min discount (compared to Sprint) and then cancel it? (He would not have to sign a contract since he'd have his own unlocked phone, right?) Should he just use one of the Sprint phones?

    SOS!

    TIA.

It's still $.69/min, and that's not much less than T-Mobile. Plus I don't want to be paying $0.69/min even if I use a phone here for normal use.

    EDIT:

I also mean to ask that if I use the Nokia 3310 on Sprint, could I buy a Moto C139 and put in the 3310's sim and throw the 3310 away?
