Pre Paid Phone Question

Im 14 and my parents are making me buy my own cell phone and i dont have a credit card so when i had cash i went down to target and got a virgin moble phone thinking theyd be best. Well it set up fine and service is good but its sucks up minuts. I check voicemail and it takes minuts away, i make a 30 second phonecall it takes a minut away. And everyday 30 cents dissapears out of my balance. I dont have money to keep this up. So im asking what is the best prepaid phone service out there for the price that wont give me this greif.

Re: Pre Paid Phone Question

Since you bought the phone at Target, I'm assuming you're in the US.

If PagePlus has service where you live, it's a lot cheaper per minute and doesn't have the daily fee. It uses the Verizon network. You can't get local numbers everywhere, though. (If your friends call you from their cell phones, it probably won't matter - most US cell phones include free US long distance.)

T-Mobile ToGo is also good if it works where you live. It is as cheap as 10 cents a minute.

Check your voicemail from a landline and you may not have to pay for checking the messages.

I recommend that you look into TMobile To Go first before any of the other carriers that are out there due to them being the cheapest as far as PP rates go. You can check how their coverage is in your area here. Unsupported Browser They offer free roaming off of their network in areas where they have roaming agreements set up with other carriers. Also once you add $100.00 to your account with them you are considered to be a gold customer and your minutes will not expire for a full year, and all you will need to do to keep your account active would be to add $10 a year to it. I have found that once service is set up with To Go the best place to buy refill pins is from Cheap International Prepaid Phone Cards . Use any of these 3 codes with them to save 8% on your refills; save8, cheap, and Thanks5. This site also doesn't charge taxes making it an even better deal.
You can find out more information about TMobile To Go located on their web site here. Unsupported Browser

I can understand that. All carriers out there can't be expected to work everywhere. Cingular is an excellent choice. You can read all about it here in this link att wireless phone (see post #2) . Also you can check out Cingulars coverage in your area on their website in this link. Cingular Wireless . Good luck with your decision. Let us know how you make out with this.

You can check on there website in this link to see whether or not Virginmobile lists what their coverage areas are. Prepaid Cell Phones and Pay as You Go Service from Virgin Mobile I know Virginmobile runs off of Sprints network, so you might be able to find out what coverage is by looking at sprints maps. SPRINT PCS -
