TRACFONE - Avoid at all cost

We arrived in the USA, and needing a phone, bought a Tracfone (actual phone is a Motorola C261 - nice little phone).

Tracfone offer International Long Distance calling, including Australia. 48 hours to activate!! Like hell!!!

Today 8 days since we bought the 'fone' - and after 4 lengthy calls to the service section of Tracfone - still no International service. We can make local calls, and receive both International calls and sms messages - but NO International calls out.

The 'service' section - in each of my 4 looooong calls (1800 number so at least no cost to me - but no service, and certainly no International service) - promises full service within a variable number of hours. Latest is 24 hours!! Nothing happens!!

Avoid frustration! Avoid Tracfone!
