After having my phone for 7 months, I've come to the conclusion that ATT go phone is wrong for me. I recently came to think this because I found out I love texting. But it wasn't that way at first..
I just needed a cell phone to make calls for after school practice, going to a friend's, or shopping. 15 cents to send and receive texts, always 25 cents a minute, and 25 cents for multimedia messages. Since July 16th, I had $23.00 in my account, now 4 days later, I have $7.00 left.

Right now I'm leaning towards getting Net10, but I want to be sure I'm choosing the right plan. I don't need anything spiffy, just a phone that gets calls and texts. It would be nice to have a camera and a keyboard on my phone, though. I don't need unlimited texting, but that would be a nice security blanket, not worrying about going over.
My mom and dad have cell phones now, and my sister will need one. I'd like to get a family plan for us, but we don't need something like 1000 minutes and unlimited nights and weekends. I'm the only texter in the family. I'd say we use 600-700 minutes, maybe more, a month all together.

I don't use the phone for talking all that much

I really need some help deciding what to do

seeing that you use a lot of txt and minutes, have you looked into metropcs or cricket or one of those services that maybe in your area? It is unlimited somewhat prepaid, you just pay the month before you use the service.

Metro PCS and Cricket aren't available in my area, and I don't talk so much on the cell phone as much as I text

    I think I'm going with Net10
I've done some researching and thinking, and found out that if my family were to get a family plan, we'd be paying $120-250 dollars, when we're paying about $80 now.

I would go with net10 if you want prepaid and mainly want it for texting. They charge a half of a minute to either send or receive a text.So you could send an receive 300 texts with a $15.00 phone card.

You will probably have to buy your phone from the net10 site.I wasn't able to find any camera phones in local stores when I had net10.
