OKAY, heres the situation:

My LG Keybo cell phone was stolen last friday. I am with Koodo. If I were to get a new keybo, I would probably have to pay close to $260(money that I do NOT have right now), and keep my account with Koodo. and on top of that, I have a $268.08 phone bill, from long distance calls that I didnt even know they were charging me for, I was told It was free after 7.. and thats when the calls were made, after 7pm on weekdays.
So all together, i would have to have like $536.08 in order for all this to work out.
I could also just get a temporary samsung for $75, and keep the account with koodo.

My other option is I could buy a Keybo off of this guy, and take over his contract, which is basically the same as what I had. The phone is free, he is only asking I pay $25 for the transfer fee. BUT If i did that, I would have to pay $120.15 to Koodo to cancel the account (its the tab price)

So IN A NUTSHELL:

Stay with Koodo + cheap temporary samsung= Aprox. $362.08

Stay with Koodo + New Keybo= Apx. $536.08

Quit Koodo+Go with telus+ Free keybo + $25 dollar transfer fee + $120.15 to cancel koodo plan+ Bill $286.08= aprox. $431.23

Any advice? should I some how talk to koodo about lowering the price of my bill because I didnt know at ALL that it was costing money? They already took off $50 off the bill... but its still BS.

Sorry that was confusing and long, I just really really need help.

zeta - allie originally made the post in the new member help forum. This forum is intended for help with the site itself, not cell phone related issues (as it states in the description of the forum). Since we don't have a forum for Koodo, and the topic is specific to how Koodo handles the replacement of a stolen phone, I moved to the general service provider forum.
