    Hi people,

My girlfriend and I will be visiting the US (doing a fly-drive) for 5 weeks starting early September - rough route (in case it matters for coverage etc.) is Nashville, Memphis, Chicago, New York. We would like to get a US SIM card (have an unlocked phones which will be fine) to use while there for calls and data. We'll be using it to research and book campsites almost every day, so I suspect we're going to need 1GB or so, and probably 200 minutes of calls.

Any recommendations for carriers/deals? Decent coverage but also cheap - I've been looking around and data seems to be very expensive over there. Will have to be pay-as-you-go as I can't get a contract just for a month. Something we could pick up in Nashville TN would be ideal, although if we need to order something online we could get it sent to the hotel prior to arriving.

    Thanks!
    -Mark

I would look at Virgin Mobile or AT&T prepaid. They both have a good selection of phones that also include data.
