Hi,
I will be relocating from the United States to Europe later this year, returning to the U.S. once or twice each year. Currently, I do not have a wireless/cell phone or service provider. My phone usage, in general, is low (under 5 minutes per day).
Considering all that, I am looking for suggestions on my next phone and service plan. Requirements are:
- no-contract plan (unless justifiable)
- service required in U.S. and Europe
- smart phone features are a bonus
Based on my research so far, it appears I need an unlocked, quad-band, GSM phone, correct? FYI, I do have some experience with the Samsung Galaxy S2 SkyRocket.
Thank you

Re: No-contract World Phone
Galaxy Nexus is worth a look. Unlocked quad-band GSM (five 3G bands) for just $350. I haven't researched what the typical European frequency bands are though. I'd suggest you look into that before making any purchases, especially in the countries you are most likely to be using the phone in.

Re: No-contract World Phone
I had similar requirements when I bought my phone last year, and I ended up with a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc. It's a very comprehensive phone, but a bit on the pricey side.
If you send me a private message, I can send you a link for the service I use. Since I'm a new member to this forum with only a few posts, I can't send a link yet.
