Re: Having trouble choosing carrier
I wanted help choosing between the two carriers I listed. If someone has a better carrier in mind that's great, but thus far I haven't seen another carrier that offers cheap, unlimited high speed data with no throttling.

WOW !! 15gb a month? You have I see limited access to wi-fi? Are you out in the country or in a big city? sorry i'm just curious. I thought I had read some where that most people barely even get close to 3 to 4 g of usage a month due to using wifi.

Re: Having trouble choosing carrier
I live in the suburbs where we're locked with Comcast which doesn't offer very good speed unless you sign on with an expensive cable package, and even then it's not even 50Mbps. Most people use 3-4GB a month not just because of wi-fi but also because they're not very heavy users. They don't do video streaming a lot, or use GPS navigation constantly, or download many songs/e-books/movies/apps from the Amazon/Google play store, etc.
I already know that I'll constantly be using my phone to stream video, I'll be downloading a lot of books to read, streaming a lot of music/pod casts, using GPS navigation often, and playing games like Leviathan and Grand Theft Auto. That's why I'm getting it after all, so I have a lot of portable media I can consume.

Re: Having trouble choosing carrier
T-Mobile offers much better prices so you get a little better bang for your buck and i have had no problems at all with their service in my area. I would easily choose them over sprint when you consider the overall features , plans, and pricing.

Re: Having trouble choosing carrier
My Verizon contract will be expiring in a month. I'm looking to switch to a no-contract carrier. I heard both positive and negative things about the "budget" no-contract carriers. I figure I have nothing to loose, if I don't like it, I can switch. I've looked at Virgin, Straighttalk, MetroPCS and H2O. I'll look into Voyager and Solavei after reading this thread. Right now I'm leaning towards H2O because a friend of mine has it and is pleased with the service. Anyone have any thoughts on the aforementioned carriers?

Look into Ting! No contract, bring your own device, GSM or CDMA, excellent customer service (they'll walk you through activation in their online chat), and the rates are excellent, haven't found anything better. https:// zb7pqk11l14.ting.com/
