Newb needs help!!!

Hey all,

first off...love the site!

So I went to the ringtone download page and tried to get a new ringer. I pick the ringtone I want and select NEXT, then it brings a page looking for country, service provider and phone. So I select Canada and Telus is not a listed provider, and my phone (KE424C) is not listed either.

Am I doing something wrong?

I can honestly say I'm not familiar with the pay-portion of the site.... (which is what you were in with that description...)

But worse than that... when I look up your phone the Kyocera KE424C the page, unfortunately, says that "Customizable ringtones" are " Not added yet"...

Unless there is updated information elsewhere I think you, like me with my little motorola, are stuck with what is already on the phone... That would explain why your phone wasn't on the list, eh?

If my info is somehow outdated PLEASE post here again so we can get you some real help!

Don't think it has Customizable ringtones, but I'm not sure . Please define customizable ! It does have the ablity to add ringtones, 10 slots according to Telus.

Pay-portion??? Okay, so how do I get free ones?

I'm not certain how to get them to your phone - or if its possible... but lets say it IS! (try here for some ideas... adn here for an old thread on the topic)

Head into the ringtones forum and pick out a couple you like... or try the board search to look for particular titles...

I think you've already seen the Kyocera forum - put your phone model in the title of a thread there asking for specific upload information... or check this thread for ideas that might work on your phone....

Tried putting my phone in the Kyocera Forum...no replys. Got some .mid for the ringer forum and emailed them to my phone...but my phone didn't get them . Did Telus block those emails? Should I just suck-it-up and buy their ring tones?

LOL, you mean Canadiandude??? That was the thread that brought me to this forum when I did a google search...I PM'ed him when I first signed-up for this forum but never heard back. I think I'll just break-down and buy Telus's damn ringtones.
