GOOGLE Voice-By Invitation Only!

Really people? That's amazing, I had a Google Voice account too and then I logged in and it basically told me that they have changed the way they're operating it and that I'd have to wait for them to send me out an invitation, but that they anticipate I won't be waiting long...

I've been waiting for 2 weeks.

This is ridiculous...Android users should be exempt from the invitations

i just got my invite... it took 2-3 weeks, got the email invite on my DROID and did the set up on my Mac/google Gmail page/email.

Well, I've ran into a problem.

Even though Google stated that I cannot access my account online anymore because of the new invitation only status, the Google number is still connected to my line. I am unable to set up a Google Voice account using my same mobile number...it is driving me crazy.

Did you choose to use a google phone number... or choose to use your cell number with google voice.

What do you have to do now... what's your next step.

I personally like, and chose to have a Google voice number assigned to me, i like the options with a separate phone number leaving my cell number to its own. The more you tie yourself into something new, the more obligated you are to it.

Strange, I do know you can only use one Google voice account (number) with your number. In other words I have 3 GV numbers but I can only have each one forward to a different number not all to the same number, is that where your problem lies?

Next step GV tech support.
