Is there an app ( like lo-jack ) to track a devise..

Wondering if there is a tracking devise on the market to put on my dog's collar to track the dog when he runs and an app to connect to the Google maps feature on the Android phones.

Most tracking Apps on the DROID locate other user of cell phones, to track a pet, a device would have to be attached to your pet that gives off a signal that a DROID App can receive. Pet supplies may have a tracking device that incorporates a ANDROID App which will allow your DROID to receive a signal. i haven't heard of anything yet, keep checking with the MARKET App on the DROID, in MARKET... go to all applications, and the press... JUST IN on the top right.

it looks like life360.com will be releasing something soon that you describe - I can't find anything else similar though, which I actually find surprising. All the systems out there are stand alone packages.

yeah yeah, that's exactly what I was referencing...dog tag size, little battery, sends a signal picked up on a Droid. Might not be developed yet but sure would be a great product to dev. & bring to market!
