Nextel using sprint towers

I'm seeing if anyone here can help me. I know there is a way to do something to your phone that will also let you pick up signal from sprint towers. A guy I know can do this with your phone in about 10 sec. This bar comes up underneith your signal bar, it has different letters and numbers. Anyone heard of this or know the code? Thanks

No you can't use Iden on sprint network,

you cant use the sprint towers. the thing that cj posted wont allow you to use the sprint towers....

You can't make an IDEN phone work on any other network other than IDEN unless it's a dual-mode like the i930 (you can take the IDEN SIM out and put in a GSM SIM to use on other networks) or the upcoming Sprint phone which will use IDEN for 2-way and Sprint for normal voice calls. That Sprint phone is expected to be released in October and will allow Sprint users to chirp Nextel users, but it will be a Sprint phone with a Sprint calling plan.

These phones were designed that way, there's no code you can put in to change that. It would be like trying to watch a dvd in your cassette player or drying your wet laundry in the oven (DO NOT TRY THAT LAST ONE OR YOUR HOUSE WILL BURN DOWN). Don't ever try to put diesel in your gasoline engine either, even if someone tells you they put a code in your car to make it work.
