hey guys, i have a question about my treo 600....

i've downloaded a couple of programs onto it, and ever since i did that i can't make a call on half life battery or less unless it's plugged into the wall...what will hapen is i will dial the number and it will say no service and beep at me...i've called verizon and they said there is no tower problems in my area etc...my question is is why is it doing this and has anyone else had/heard this problem before?? there not big programs, one is just to keep track of some car stuff/maintenance and the other is ringo for ringtones etc..these programs aren't that big, but is that the reason why it's doing that?? any input would be helpful!

You should call for service... start with Verizon Customer Service and then they'll probably get you to technical service.
It sounds like you should have your Treo replaced. I'm on my 4th one now. It's easy to do and they'll troubleshoot with you to see if it's a fixable problem.

If you haven't done it yet, update your 600's firmware. Find out what version you have by doing the following:

    1. Press “Phone” button

    2. Make sure that your radio (phone) is active. If “wireless mode off” is displayed then turn on your radio by depressing the power button on the top of your phone for a few seconds.

    3. Press “Menu”

    4. From the “Options” menu select “Phone Info”
Firmware and Software versions are displayed. The newest is 3.06.

If you need it, download the updater here: http://www.palmone.com/us/support/do...0_updater.html

Stick around these forums, we need more palm users

EDIT: Hmm, guess it was the software I already have.

Hehe, thanks!! It's always nice to run into another geeky girl. Are you going to get the 650 or 700?? I love my 600 more than life itself but it would be nice to go into Starbucks and not have to bring my laptop you know?

Well I just decided to spend my Chrismas money in advance and bought an unlocked 650 on eBay. YIPEE!!

I couldn't decide between the 650 or the 700 but I have so much Palm software I've purchased it would be a shame to lose it all.

jenn, id stick with palm os, its pretty rock solid and the software library is HUGE. palm os owns 75% of the pda market. its good to be the majority
