    Beware of Tigerdirect Wireless!
They sell garbage that breaks just after the 30 day warranty expires. Now I'm stuck with a 2 year contract and a broken Treo 650 smartphone.
I spent 3 hours on hold with their customer service department just to be told that there is nothing I can do about it.
I am also having trouble obtaining the rebate forms. They forgot to include them in the package and when I tried downloading them from the internet, I got an error message saying the forms are unavailable.

See More: Beware of Treo 650 for $99?!? It broke after 2 months!

doesn't the manufacturer have some sort of warranty you could get a possible exchange/replacement through?

Tigerdirect is just an affiliate of inPhonic/Wirefly Mobile i'm pretty sure. inPhonic/Wirefly has a terrible reputation from my experience. On the other hand, Tigerdirect has great computer parts!

siempre fresco is correct. As with all cell phone manufactures, Samsung, Plam, Sanyo, LG, etc, it's not the carrier (Bell Mobility, NMI, Telus, etc) that services the phones. When you return to a store of purchase, the store mails the phones out to the manufacture's repair center.

As long as you have a receipt with the date of purchase, you can mail the Treo yourself to PalmOne, along with the receipt, and they will repair it. Warranty on all cell phones is 1 year from purchase date.

Do the cell phone carriers sell this warranty even if you bought the phone somewhere else? I'm on T-mobile, but just bought a Treo 650 from an outside source. Would love to get insurance on it, but Tmobile doesn't even offer the 650.
