Re: how to recover data from dead phone
Urshie, if the data isn't on your SD card and the phone won't boot, I am afraid that the data is most likely lost. It sucks but I have had it happen to me. The default setting on most phones is to save the photos to the phone memory, you have to manually change it to save to the SD card.
To the others, if the phone is bootable you can try using a data cable or taking it into your carrier's corporate store to have them do a data transfer. They might charge you a fee though.

Re: how to recover data from dead phone
Here I would like to share you my experience about how to recover data from dead phone:
Connect your phone to your pc,
When connecting your phone make your pc use your phone as 'external storage device',
Run the software Android Data Recovery, choose the scan location (SD card / phone),
Filter the results and find your jpeg and mpeg files.
Restore to your pc.
Good luck!!

Re: how to recover data from dead phone
Generally speaking, most file in the phone save in the memory card, so you can unplug the card from phone, and connect it to computer to recover data from memory card. It is better for you to use recovery program to get back what you lost from mobile phone. I know a recovery tool name Card Data Recovery, you can google it!
