I got to the Verizon store this morning, seen my friend and purchased the INCREDIBLE, and did it without any crowds, hassles, or Novocaine...lol. Everything did what its suppose to, my Gmail contacts and PAID Apps were restored.
If your on your hone screen, and then press the HOME SCREEN icon on the bottom of the phone (illuminate Icon) ... all your screens are displayed (thumbnail) so you can choose the one you need instead of swiping left or right to find your desire screen... great feature!
QUICK TEXT is back and available during texting!
The biggest reason i upgraded to the INCREDIBLE was, i didn't like, nor did i need or use a QWERTY KEYBOARD. The INCREDIBLE is slim and lite.
STAY TUNED....

Re: HTC Droid Incredible... Real Time Review
I got done downloading all my free Apps which can NOT be automatically listed as INSTALL in MARKET Application. On your INCREDIBLE... go to market and on the pop up menu bottom of the phone press downloads, a list of all paid Apps will appear ready to be INSTALLED. I would suggest (like i did) make a list of all your free Apps that need to be installed on your INCREDIBLE.
This phone is fast... i hooked up my WiFi FIOS and Paired my Apple Power Book with my INCREDIBLE using BLUETOOTH, then i transfered movies and photos USING the bluetooth, FAST and easy.
Text with voice-to-text is good so far, one complaint is when pre-suggest words appear and you choose the word, it appears in the message box but WITHOUT the automatic space, so you have to choose the word then hit the space bar.
The NAVIGATION BALL at the bottom of the the phone came in handy when you misspell a word and you want to change a letter in the middle of the word, the ball allows landing the cursor with precision instead trying to tap your way there, especially if you have large fingers, the same goes for when you choose a tittle/box inside a website.

Re: HTC Droid Incredible... Real Time Review
As a previous DROID owner using a 3.5 ear piece instead of Bluetooth, i always had a problem on the DROID answering and ending a phone call using the control button/bar, on the INCREDIBLE i can now answer and end a call using the 3.5 control button/bar.
The DROID'S speaker was located on the back of the DROID, thus when the DROID was put down especially on a bed/pillow/couch something soft, the sound would get muffled/low.
The INCREDIBLE speaker is located on the face/front side with a Hole/Hollow space on the back to the right of the dual flash allowing sound to be release from the rear if the phone is faced down, and of course if its faced up, sound would come from its main speaker.
If your DROID INCREDIBLE is laying on a table/bar/bed/ or desk during a meeting.. or anywhere faced up, and you get a call, turning the phone over (face down) mutes the call/ringer.
I find features like the ones above useful thought out capabilities, there's nothing sensational about this phone (except VIDEO OUT).... but this phone is INCREDIBLE because of the small meaningful things put into the thought process when designing this phone.

Re: HTC Droid Incredible... Real Time Review
Now i'm testing the battery, the camera and video are next. I was at the Verizon store talking to my friend because my signal bars are weak on the INCREDIBLE, i was told that the BARS give a false reading. We went into BATTERY/NETWORK in settings, he showed me a true reading of signal strength... when i did it at home, the dBm was between 80-85, but i only had 1 bar, that doesn't match. This may be a fix for HTC in the next update.
I'm noticing not as many Apps are running at random as they did on the DROID, i checked twice today... morning... and tonight using Task Killer to view the Apps that were running, only 4-8 Apps were listed. I remember with the DROID maybe 15 or more would be running at any given time.
I mention in previous post that tapping the illuminated HOME icon at the bottom of the phone (left in photo below) will display all seven screens, when you tap on one of the screens, it display that screen. see photo below...

Re: HTC Droid Incredible... Real Time Review
The INCREDIBLE comes with 8GB of storage internally, and a 2gb SD-Card, 8GB of internal storage is large. I have 30 apps loaded plus the standard Apps and Widgets that come loaded on the phone, and I still have almost 7GB of available free-space remaining.
Take the battery cover off and there’s a red solid inter face, I could care less, I’m into practicality as a user, and this phone was design by someone who cares about the user. Great keyboard large keys for big finger people.
The incredible comes with lite-flash, this phone would be a slam-dunk if it had 10.1… 10.1 is coming soon, so they say, but it does have pinch to zoom which is great.
The INCREDIBLE has a pretty cool Music App, music fans should enjoy the set-up, and Social networks there all here… facebook, twitter, and flickr are all include in one App to get latest gossip, the App is called FRIEND STREAM. I’m not into Social Networks, but if you are… the INCREDIBLE has it.
Update… On the home screen, if you pinch it, the thumbnails photos of all seven screens will appear, and so you have the option to double tap the home icon on the bottom of the phone, or just pinch the HOME SCREEN.
I would suggest your constant go-to Apps, programs, shortcuts, contacts, direct dialing, Direction-Navigation … anything or anyone you find yourself searching/calling daily… store them (icon) on your HOME SCREEN. My home screen has a mixture of priority Apps, friends, Directions; the least amount of tapping/searching makes life easy.
The ground breaking technology is the VIDEO OUT capability which needs a special USB cable that hasn’t reach the stores yet. Video out allows you to display anything on your INCREDIBLE home screen onto your big screen TV.
Checkout the Video below.

Re: HTC Droid Incredible... Real Time Review
A new search engine that’s hot right now is OPERA MINI (MOBILE) and also available for your desktop. A hint… if you download it for your INCREDIBLE and you type a title in the search bar, hit the arrow on the bottom of the keyboard that’s bent/pointing left to engage the search.
Very Fast results

Re: HTC Droid Incredible... Real Time Review
Update...
Opera is a great secondary search engine; but for now it lacks the pinch and zoom of GOOGLE.
Opera Takes a Back Seat to Safari on the iPhone
I like this browser, so i'm keeping an eye on it....
Anyone call Verizon and try to have their upgrade date (present phone) pushed up in order to upgrade to the INCREDIBLE at the discount price. If your really interested in the INCREDIBLE, give it a shot.
The FM radio tuner works well, Sirius (satellite) Radio App will be release soon, so if you subscribe to satellite radio you may (I’m guessing) just have to enter your info to receive transmission like you do online at the website.
I won’t bore you with every detail of battery testing and the details of usage, WHY, because NO two cell phone user are alike, saving power and Battery rating discussions can go on and on… and no matter what I say or test, batteries usage will always vary without certainly because everyone uses cell phones differently. The bottom line is…CHARGE your phone, keep a car/home charger when traveling, an extra charged batteries at hand, the incredible soaks up power. You want a cell phone that does a lot… well it takes power, and until they develop a proven strong slim battery... we’ll just have to be battery conscious.
Throughout the day my WiFi (Home) was connected all day, but my phone usage with text, calls, and Internet usage was low. In my opinion the Battery is no better or no worst than expected on a power smartphone, if your usage is heavy, carry two batteries and charge with your phone whenever possible. Right now there’s no magic cure for Battery power, if you opt for extended batteries then you may have to sacrifice thickness of the INCREDIBLE, and will the extra extension of Battery life be worth the increase size of the phone size. Everyone has preferences.
INCREDIBLE UPDATE...
There’s an OTA update lurking about the airwaves to fix the SIGNAL BARS, they seem to be giving weak signal strength (low bars) when actual you have a good signal. Checking your dbm in settings/battery is a true reading (70-90 is good).
I also REMOVED… killed, Advance Task killer App, I think the phone eats up more power turning on Apps every time their killed or turned off by this program, i'll let the INCREDIBLE do its thing.
I turned off my ANIMATIONS in settings, this seems to speed-up the INCREDIBLE, kind of like not having or, removing the AC in a muscle car… you older guys remember...lol.
