This has been confirmed that the G1 does support the 16gb micro sd card. The 32gb micro sd card may work too but nobody knows that until they hit the market.

They do indeed work but not too much use for them until we can use them to store Apps on. I also recommend NEVER buying an SD card without a class rating of ATLEAST 4. Do not buy any 16GB "2's" if they even exist.
