Hacking the G1

Anyone done any hacking? How do you hack the G1, and what does it do? Good and bad?

Never tried this.

Do you mean rooting? I've read on other forums about people being able to "root" their G1s and My Touch phones but I am too scared! I mean, one of the upsides is the ability to install programs on to memory cards and that is almost enough reason to try but I don't want to brick my phone

Yea, rooting may be a better word, I guess you would have to root it before you do anything to it that could be considered Hacking... Thanks
