Turning Bluetooth ON or OFF

1. Open the Notifications panel and tap Settings.
2. Then turn the Bluetooth switch ON or OFF, as desired.
Tip: Always turn to the Bluetooth off when you’re not using this option, as it will help you conserve the battery life.

Changing the Name of Your Device

1. Open the Notifications panel and tap Settings.
2. In case your Bluetooth is turned off, tap the Bluetooth switch to turn it on.
3. Then tap Bluetooth and a Bluetooth screen will open.
4. Then tap More and select Rename phone.
5. Enter a new name for your HTC One VX in the dialog box.
6. When done, tap Rename.

Connecting a Bluetooth Headset or Car Kit

By using a Bluetooth headset or car kit, you can have hands-free conversations or even listen to music.

Note: In order to be able to listen to music with the car kit or headset that you have, the device must support the A2DP Bluetooth profile. Also, make sure the headset that you’d like to connect to your smartphone is in discoverable mode.

1. Open the Notifications panel and tap Settings.
2. Turn the Bluetooth switch to ON and tap Bluetooth for more options.
3. A Bluetooth screen should open, in case you don’t see your headset in the list, tap More -> then tap Search for devices. This will refresh the list.
4. Then, when you see the name of your headset in the Available devices list, tap it.
5. Your smartphone will automatically try to pair with the headset.
6. In case the pairing failed, try to enter the passkey provided with the headset. Usually, the passkey is 1234 or 0000. In case these passkeys don’t work, try consulting the headset documentation to find the correct one.

Disconnecting from a Bluetooth Device

1. Open the Notifications panel and tap Settings.
2. Then tap Bluetooth, and from the Paired devices section tap the Bluetooth device that you’d like to disconnect.
3. Then tap OK.

Unpairing from a Bluetooth Device

1. Open the Notifications panel and tap Settings.
2. Turn the Bluetooth switch to ON and then tap Bluetooth.
3. From the Paired devices list, tap the unpair icon next to the device that you’d like to unpair.
4. And then tap Unpair.

Turning NFC and Android Beam ON

1. Open the Notifications panel and tap Settings.
2. From Wireless & Networks, tap More.
3. Tap NFC and select Android Beam.
4. Then tap the Android Beam switch to turn it on or off, as desired.

Beaming Content

Tip: You need to make sure the device you wish to beam content with is NFC-compatible, that both devices are unlocked and have the NFC and Android Beam turned on.


1. Go to the content that you’d like to share, hold your HTC One VX and the other NFC compatible device back to back. As soon as the devices connect, you’ll hear a specific sound and both devices will vibrate a bit.
2. To share the content, tap the screen.
3. Then the shared content will appear on the screen of the other device.
